Board Meetings
- Board meetings are held at 7 p.m. in the Raquette Lake Union Free School District (UFSD) (115 State Route 28, Raquette Lake) on the fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted.

Board Members
The Board of Education of the Raquette Lake UFSD consists of five (5) members elected by the qualified voters of the School District at the annual election in May.

Members of the Board of Education serve for five (5) years beginning July 1 following their election, and each term shall expire on the thirtieth day of June of the fifth year.
Powers and Duties of the Board
The Board is the corporate body charged with the general control, management, and responsibility of the schools of the Raquette Lake UFSD. As such, it possesses those powers and duties set forth in law.
The Board is authorized to act as a body duly called in session. Individual board members have no authority over school affairs.
As a union-free school district, the Board has the powers and duties set forth in New York State Education Law and other applicable federal and state laws and regulations. The Board has the superintendence, management, and control of the educational affairs of the District and therefore, has all the powers reasonably necessary to exercise powers granted expressly or by implication, and to discharge duties imposed expressly or by implication, by the laws of New York State and the Commissioner of Education.
